Contribuer aux commentairesJura is an anarchist bookshop in Sydney. they make workshops, social events and organize everything. Vegans should explore the concept of anarchy to see how human and animal oppression are connected and how we can fight them both. My only problem is that anarchists often take no animal release, so often people sit at meetings eating chicken wings. Anarchy is about ending hierarchy and oppression. Meat, milk and eggs have no place in an anarchist bookshop.
Jura has a wide range of vegan cookbooks and animal-li books and brochures. They have many political discussions and film screenings, from anarchism, feminism and antiracism to environmental policy and animal liberation. You also have music gigs. They welcome like-minded groups to set up events. They are a non-profit, voluntary, anarchist collective working on the principles of direct democracy. A while there was a Food Box Co-op from Jura, but that doesn't happen anymore. Check their website or call them before you visit because they are voluntary and so sometimes do not open.
