It's all about the broth<br/ <br/ Familiar with Ippudo from NYC and in need of a ramen fix I decided to drop into Westfield Ippudo for lunch. I had the Karaka Men which was its usual delicious self and a tasty Yuzu highball and some water to go with.<br/ <br/ It took a while to get someone to take my order but once that happened everything moved along. The decor is kind of industrial modern Asian if that makes any sense. One note for those visiting is that you pay by going back up to the entrance when you are done the wait staff doesn't give you a bill.
When I have a craving for Ramen, it’s Ippudo without fail. Worth the wait and love, love their prawn buns. #ippudo
Very good customer service and food came out quick. Wait is not too long on a tuesday night. We got a ramen each and popcorn octopus to share<br/ The noodles were chewy and aldente, just how i like it. Broth is rich but not too salty and the egg was very delicious. <br/ The drinks list is very extensive. <br/ The chashu was a bit fragile, almost lost my piece midway.<br/ <br/ The price, however, didnt justify the portion. The price was higher than average, but i wasnt completely full, also thought the ramen would come with bamboo shoots and nori, like others with similar price points, but they are add ons, and would be too expensive.
There are a few Ippudo restaurants in Sydney but the one in 'Westfield Sydney ' is the best. It 's interesting how it 's the same restaurant, but you don 't get the same quality. Ippudo Westfield is the leader of the pack. I give this place 5 bears.
