Came for drinks on a Thursday night before a dinner res. Small space on street level about 6-7 tables, service was good and staff seemed friendly but as there weren’t many customers the conversations between the staff and their friends dominated the room and made it hard to hear my own conversation and felt quite awkward like we were intruding on them. Drinks were alright but nothing special, unsure if it was a staff member who wasn’t working that night or if she was a friend of the bartender who made our drinks.
Fantastic little wine and dine package. Every month there’s a different offering which is exceptional value. The venue itself is intimate casual. The sommelier comes to your table and discusses the wine pairing for the two course meal which is nice. Would go again.
Excellent service helpful, knowledgeable and funny. A great place for a relaxing, after work catch up.
Thr review I gave on my Facebook page: Post lunch drinks at The Fox Hole Tavern. (24.10.2021) 'Tally ho, away we go! All hounds in, present and accounted for. Time for a relaxing tipple as we babble bye within coop to pause our dwell '... and other such jargon. A lovely little British style bar which we would definitely visit again to try their traditional English fare. I 've not had a proper scotch egg in forever but we thought it best to stick to a lighter option of drinking snacks; lucky for us they had Edamame on offer so apart from the Nippon nibbleis we treated the afternoon like it was a proper English Summer. Gin Tonic, Juicy Pimms and the most refreshing London Mules we 've ever drunk this side of Kent.
