Stanford's Steak - Tacoma

Birthday party. excellent service. eating was a bit cold. dessert was excellent.

We had a fabulous dinner last night. The Cabernet tips were delish! Tomahawk was done to perfection. The Best cheesecake! Also, Kasie, our server, was fabulous, attentive and fun!

Beautiful atmosphere. We started with appetizers and left before having an entree. Took over 15 minutes when we were first seated to be greeted. We felt like we were an inconvenience to our server. Bread was dry. Mushrooms were good. Calamari’s salty. We will not be back.

I had out of town visitors staying nearby. We had a business meal and decided to try Stanford's. Service and hospitality was great. However, the meal, mostly steaks, were not to write home about. I had a 12 oz. ribeye steak. It was only about 1/3 inch thick and was extremely fatty and tough, even though I order it cooked medium rare. I could not finish the meal. So not my idea of a classic steakhouse. And the prices, although we were on an expense budget, seemed out of line for the quality of the meats being served. I'll think twice about going back. But willing to give them a shot if they can correct the food issues.

We were a party of 4 on a Saturday night (6:30 . My husband and I eat there all the time and our friends were there for the first time and it was just amazing a so tasty as always and as usual we had such great service even in the busy Saturday night room : Thank you!
