Love to sit outside on the patio. The view is exceptional. It's just perfect for a great cocktail and some fresh clams.
My husband and I decided to celebrate my birthday with a lunch outing. It had been over two decades since I last visited the lobster shop in 2000. While we usually dine at Duke’s, we opted for a change this time. The service was welcoming and informative, with M giving us ample time to browse through the menu. To start, we tried two Shigoku and two Sunseeker oysters, along with crab cakes and lobster bisque. The Shigoku oysters were a highlight, although I usually enjoy champagne mignonette without ice. Nevertheless, the oysters were fresh and delightful. The crab cakes were another hit, with a perfect portion size for two. We both enjoyed the flavorful lobster bisque. For our main courses, we ordered the Lobster Tagliatelle and Halibut. The tagliatelle was scrumptious, and even though I usually prefer crab to lobster, the lobster in the pasta was well-prepared. The halibut was cooked to perfection. I found the flavor of the spring peas in the risotto slightly overpowering, but overall, the meal was fantastic. Once again, the server was outstanding, and despite a slight delay in receiving our main dishes, she kept us informed throughout.
Walked in and the first thing you see is a 20% service charge for all bills… I am fully capable of calculating my tip based on the level of service I receive. They call themselves fine dining yet I’ve never been to a high end establishment that advertises 20% added right in front of you.
We were very disappointed. Will probably not ever go back. Food was not very good or the service.
