Every time I visit Manila (or any other part of the Philippines for that matter) and dine out, I am always disappointed by the lack of options for vegans. It's usually a struggle to find anything on the menu that doesn't involve meat. However, during my last visit to BGC, I decided to grab a quick bite at Mogu Japanese Shinsen Bar Grill before a long meeting, and I was pleasantly surprised. The waiter recommended a delicious herbal noodle soup with extra vegetables, which turned out to be more than just a snack – it was a satisfying meal. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who exemplified good customer service. The restaurant itself was bright and overlooked a bustling pedestrian area. I will definitely be returning.
We were craving something with a blue theme for lunch, so we decided to try a restaurant that was offering a Bento special. The staff at the entrance was average, but the ambiance was lovely. I ordered the chicken Teriyaki Bento with roasted tofu, and it arrived very quickly. The flavors were reminiscent of Tokyo, and the food was delicious. Here's a photo of our lunch for reference.
Eat pretty fantastic there. We had Tuna carpaccio great starter, Crispy Pork Belly Salad, Yaki Soba beautiful and did not feel like it was made with finished bottle sauce. Parmesan Scollops and finally amazing Boneless Beef short ribs, melt in your mouth stuff! In any case, we wanted to think again here, but we made a pact not to visit the same restaurant twice on this trip.
Wanted something out of blue for lunch, we were walking around and saw this place had a bento special and there we went. Staff right at the door, ac well so so, but ambience was nice. Ordered chicken teriyaki bento with fried tofu, came out pretty quick. As like previously posted items taste a key kind of good here but reminded me taste of tokyo Tokyo oh well.
