The bun was dry and toasted without butter, only had three small pieces of bacon, and the egg was fried too much. It didn't have any salad. Do they really need a tutorial on how to make a burger? And on top of that, I had to pay an extra 40 cents for some sauce just to try to make it more palatable. Needless to say, my dog ended up eating it.
I entered the cafe and immediately knew we should have left, but didn't want to be rude. The area behind the counter was messy and unprofessional. The walls and floors were in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. The chips were unappetizing, lacking salt and tasting heavily of oil. On the bright side, the works burger was decent.
The customer service was extremely lacking, as I couldn't even have a conversation with my daughter. The tables and salt and pepper shakers were dirty. Ultimately, I decided to leave the restaurant.
We stopped here for lunch en route to Kangaroo Island. Hamburger. Fresh but nothing special and quite small.
Driving through on Good Friday to find MJ's cafe the only cafe open. We ordered fish and chips and a pizza and very disappointed, the grilled fish looked like a day old sardine left out in the sun. The scallop and crab stick was still frozen, but to be fair the pizza wasn't terrible.
