I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner, especially the set menu which offered great value. The tuna tartare was the best I've ever had, the dish was well-executed and enjoyable. While the dessert was good, it didn't stand out as much as the starter and main course which were exceptional. I will definitely be calling to make another reservation this week!
My husband and I had a perfect day at The Savoy in London: we had dinner at Kaspar's followed by drinks and dessert at the Thames Foyer, where we enjoyed live jazz music. It was magical in every aspect: history, beauty, food quality, atmosphere, and service. The music was fantastic! We shared a few dishes, including the best seafood, lobster bisque, Irish black Angus beef fillet, and the most amazing dessert (they even wrote my name on it!). The dessert, called Paris-London, was a homemade chocolate treat. It was simply unforgettable. I highly recommend this place to both visitors and locals. I can't wait to return! P.S. Our server, Pinkria, even described the statue of Kaspar the Cat on our table and told us the legend that goes with him. P.P.S. Extra thanks to the entire staff (Aurelia, Alden, Patrick, and Rosaria) for making us feel so welcome!
Do not let them intimidate themselves from the location, it is a fantastic restaurant, with friendly staff were happy to explain the food and drink menu. I was often and loved the service and eating, it is in the savoyen hotel with views over the river thames, which is a wonderful place we great air conditioning on a hot day. They can get 3 courses for about £50, which is not to like.
Our team in work had a breakfast there for a birthday. It's an extremely impressive dining room, with a nice view over the Thames and the lobby through which you pass into the dining room is lavish and stately. The food is really good can recommend the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, with unlimited grapefruit juice, coffee, teas and toast. Only slight issue was the service was pretty slow considering the place/price and it wasn't even that full. Either way, a nice change from the norm
This is a real cosy place fantastic for an afternoon drink, to savour some appetizers or to have a classic, tasty British dinner (i.e. steaks, fresh fish, phaesant, foie gras, etc The bar is staffed with highly skilled, friendly and service-oriented personnel and offers delicious cocktails, sweet wines (we tried one from Hungary amazing! and Champagne. Highly recommend!
