Contribuer aux commentairesAs the sun went down from dusk to the wonderful garden and the atmosphere changed, I was able to relax and enjoy the meal while looking at it from the historic room. As you mentioned, the food is uncompromising in all ingredients, cooking and vessels. In particular, I enjoyed the lively Kuai. Coupled with heartwarming customer service, it is a well known store that I definitely want to visit again.
Mr. Kadomasa who has a shop from the end of Edo period. About 15 minutes by taxi from Takayama city. If you enter the shop in one step, you will be surrounded by silence. It is very delicious, even if it looks like it is carefully made and served. A mistress and a young lady are also nice. We recommend that you visit.
More than 50 years ago, when I was in the 4th grade of elementary school, my father took me to Kakusho Takayama for the third time, wondering what the taste was. First of all, I remember the taste with the charred Kakusho Rakugan. I was taken by my father and ate around, but even though I could understand the deliciousness of the vegetarian handmade soba, the taste of raw Kuai might not have been understood by elementary school students. What was such a delicious thing The deliciousness of Yubeshi wrapped in yuba and fried. The well kneaded taste is delicious even if it doesn't change. Next time, I want to be an old man who can understand the garden and rooms, but I can't.
Amazing eating with incredible love to detail. every single part of each court many courses in traditional Japanese kaiseki style was excellently finished. we had our own room in a beautiful traditional Japanese garden amazing! and each dish was served by two people a waitress and the owner? who explained everything in English. obviously more expensive than a casual meal, but it is totally worth considering the quality of food and service.
Kakusho serves shojin ryori cuisine, a traditional seasonal vegetarian dishes of Zen Buddhist monks. The dishes is served in a private room surrounded by beautiful moss garden. They were served like in kaiseki course, one by one. The foods were good, with a balance in color, texture and taste. One drawback was the price, which was guite expensive for what we had.
