I will never grow tired of this delicious spot. the oysters and garnels should die well. if there is a food institution in tallahassee, shell oyster bar it is. it's been for years and for damn good reason. fresh is everything you need to know. every item on the menu is delicious. there is nothing like slender on freshly baked oysters and fried garnel . it just won't be better, anywhere near. Another great feature is the BYOB policy. we roll with a bottle of bubbles and a couple of beers, sit on the bar and enjoy them simply. the people who run the joint are super hospitable. they can't help but let them be completely satisfied. enjoy!
This place is small and sometimes you have to wait, but believe me when I say it is worth it! the fried garnel and hushpuppies are the best in tallahassee
Great place to lunch ch..small and draws quite a lot to lunch nice size oysters, although the price continues. all eating well
Wow, we are so shocked and impressed. when you show up, is that the right place? then they go in, very rustic, very friendly, and eating is to die. Our waitress was just 2 weeks there and she treated us and our daughters like family. if they're not here, they really need to examine their head.
Been in town for awhile now on a work contract and work with some locals who recommended this place. I am a costal NC native who has spent a lot of time on the New England coast. I've had a lot of seafood in my 50+ years of life. These guys are the real deal they got it right. It's all about the food here and is a classic fish shack which I actually love the feel of. I ordered the grouper and scallops. I got it right out of the fryer and perfectly cooked... Not overcooked at all which is a huge deal. Good portions as well even for a lunch order. Will be back probably every time I am in or near Tallahassee. Highly recommend.
