Fishlips Cafe & Accommodation - Taranna

Beautiful location. There isn't much signage on the main road, but if you have the opportunity to stay in the cottages, they are stunning. We stayed in the Mawson cottage, which was incredibly spacious with two queen size beds, its own bathroom, and a seating area. The room is tastefully decorated and we especially enjoyed the Mawson windows. The kids had a great time at the lake. The women who manage the business are very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely return and stay here again if we are ever in the area.

We stayed at this restaurant and had a fantastic time, enjoying the excellent service and food. We tried fresh fish from the sea, mushrooms from the forest, and berries from the garden. It was amazing!

Excellent foods and desserts. The waterside cabins, gardens and the pond are beautiful.

The restaurant has a wonderful location with great views, and the staff is very warm and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely and quaint indoors, but the most important highlight is the food! We enjoyed a fantastic homemade pie that was incredibly flavorful.

Me and my friend stepped by for a cup of coffee before the Ghost tour in Port Arthur, but ended up having a late lunch and staying over night! The service and atmosphere were warm and very welcoming (and fast as well). The food was absolutely delicious (we had salmon soup) and accommodation clean and cozy. The beds were comfy and rooms simple but spacious. They have all kinds of cool little huts which to choose from, we stayed in one of the basic ones. The garden with it's own little beach was beautiful and perfect for a little morning walk. I could not be happier with our spontaneous visit here and I can't recommend this place enough! If you're around the area DO NOT MISS IT!ps. Make sure to try Kaarina's famous mustard :-)
