Contribuer aux commentairesWe ordered Indian food to be delivered to a house we rented for 21 people on Saturday night. The food was excellent quality and everyone enjoyed it. There were a couple of missing side dishes, but the issue was quickly resolved with a refund. This was our third time ordering from this Indian restaurant when staying as a large group in the area, and we would definitely order from them again.
Very vegetarian/vegan friendly, my family have been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed.
To be honest, we live in Wivey. Coming from an area famous for its Indian curries, we were disappointed to find that the microwave meals from supermarkets were better than the food at this restaurant. Most of the dishes were overly sweet, with the korma tasting like it had way too much sugar added. We've tried many dishes here in the hopes of finding one that isn't overly sweet, but we haven't found one yet. They really need to work on improving the authentic taste of their dishes. However, we did enjoy the prawn crackers and mint dip.
Is there a new chef? I asked before the meal, and it was absolutely delicious! This was the best takeout we've had from Taste of Spice. The dishes had the perfect amount of spices and the lamb was succulent.
Not an inviting restaurant. Cold. Hard tiled floor. Lucky I was only picking up. Owner is very miserable and has no customer skills. Will not honour discount for takeaway stated on menu. Absolutely needs to improve to become a welcoming local restaurant. Don’t think things will change with current owner. Unfortunately this is the only Indian takeaway in Wiveliscombe. Very poor experience overall.
