Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery - Teaneck

I’ve ordered delivery from here twice, and both times they’ve forgotten to include my side of plantains that are supposed to come with the jerk chicken. It’s pretty frustrating.

I have no complaints about the staff or the level of service they provide. The only concern I have is the inconsistency of the food, particularly the rice. At times, it can be hard, while other times it's just fine. It really feels like a hit or miss. However, nobody's perfect, and when the food is good, they definitely deserve recognition for their efforts.

This was definitely one of the largest Golden Crust locations I have visited in the Tri-State area, but unfortunately, it was also the worst in terms of taste and quality. I ordered stewed chicken, but it lacked flavor and tasted more like plain smothered chicken. The rice and beans were just as disappointing—bland and devoid of seasoning. I was extremely disappointed. I also tried the sweet chili chicken, and it was just as bad. I want to be supportive, but when I spend over $40, this experience is simply unacceptable. I don't see myself returning.

1 year later: I have only had 1 other poor experience that stopped me cold from going here. I returned recently and have been having good experiences until today. I don't know if it's shrinkflation or what but literally 4 pieces of curry chicken in a mini still seems not even adequate to suffice a child. Not consistent with recent experiences. It almost seems personal and I don't enjoy that feeling. It's just my opinion and I don't have the serving manual.As always very clean.

The chicken was anything but jerked! It was old, stale, dry and rough to chew, no taste, bland with no flavor. Highly disappointed with this establishment. You gotta do better than that.
