Berggasthof Neureuth Tegernsee

Went hiking with family and eating here for lunch. For several years, never to satisfy. Service is excellent, menu great, and great beer. IMPORTANT: You only take cash.

Me and my family did this tour from the Neureuth parking place to the hut with the beer garden few days ago and enjoyed fully the great weather, the view and finally the delicious food over there. Was actually the first time we tried this...out with our 5 years old daughter on her own. We've been several times and once with her as a baby, but this time decided to try her walking. It took more than 2 hours on the way up, but was ok and we had fun. The typical Bavarian fried potatoes and salad were excellent and from what i could see around the food was really good. Not cheap, but i think ok for the area and for the quality- so can fully recommend. Accompanied by a fresh Tegernsee beer the world looks perfect over there. So if around in the area and looking for something suitable for family with small kids that can walk for 1,5-2h or you carry them up there it is a great place to visit. Your effort will be rewarded with excellent local food and the best beer in the area.

Spectacular view of Tegernsee below is a nice rewarde the steep walk up to this beer garden. Unfortunately they switched Hopf for Tegernsee beer now but it's just a great place to spend half an hour to take in the beautiful views before either heading...back to the valley along he summer trail or continuing Ali go some other hiking routes. Monday the restaurant is closed but the kiosk still serves cake, snacks, wurst and of course beverages. If you want to shorten the hike, leave the car up the hill from the train station at lot P4 and as always have some coins for the meter.

Regionale Gerichte schnell serviert, Brotzeiten und gutes Bier als Zwischenmahlzeit zum Riederstein oder weiter. Die Sonnenterrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein.

Wir haben es über den "Winterweg" von Tegernsee aus sogar mit Kinderwagen hoch zum Berggasthof Neureuth geschafft, wobei das schon recht mühsam war ☺️Belohnt wurden wir dann aber mit einer tollen Aussicht und einem sehr leckeren Kaiserschmarren und Apfelstrudel!
