Not sure why there are so many extremely negative/critical reviews, I must have had Chinese from here 100 times over the last decade and nothing has ever been egregiously bad. Can only assume that people generally tend to leave reviews when they 've had absolutely terrible experiences rather than mediocre/decent ones, which skews the perception greatly. Generally it 's a really good Chinese, probably the best in the area from what I 've experienced, I have noticed sometimes the quality isn 't as good as others, as an example I 'd love to say the sweet and sour chicken balls are excellent but it 's just not consistent enough if 1 out of 6 times they come with somewhat stringy chicken (lower quality meat? reheated? i don 't know frankly again, not egregiously bad, just not excellent). Duck fried rice is excellent, salt and pepper chicken is great, honestly I don 't think I 've ever had something from New Fung Sing that I 'd describe as bad, just not as good as other times or perhaps 'decent ' at worst. Wouldn 't listen to the waves of incredibly harsh/negative reviews, not to say they didn 't have negative experiences but they certainly aren 't the norm and it 's not to be expected. However the ONE thing that annoys me is card payments, sometimes they 'll take them without hassle, othertimes they 'll say they only take cash and when you say that you 'll have to abandon your order they suddenly take cards again, not sure what 's going on with that but it 's annoying at best and suspicious at worst. Overall I 'd give them a 8/10, you probably won 't find a better Chinese in the area.

We ordered a takeaway on Saturday night. This is our favourite Chinese and we always order from them. The customer service however is absolutely diabolical. They can’t make up their mind whether they take care payments and the huffing for asking questions is unreal. The food was delivered by a lovely delivery man but that was one of the only positives. The salt and pepper chips were hot but kind of still raw. They were sad and floppy. Think it’s time to try a new Chinese.

Food was okay but not great and the wait for collection wasn’t to bad. I would say it’s pretty expensive for what you actually get
