The Dive - Temple City

I've been to this restaurant several times, and the food and drinks are consistently excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the prices are very reasonable. I brought my picky boyfriend here for the first time, and even he enjoyed it! Plus, they have beignets, which are hard to come by. Their fish and chips, gumbo, po' boys, oysters, and mussels in broth are all delicious.

We also tried the lobster roll, which was delightful, overflowing with lobster in every bite, and the truffle garlic fries were a tasty bonus. The chicken wings we ordered as appetizers were meaty and delicious, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp was so good that one serving just wasn’t enough. We arrived right when they opened for lunch on Saturday to celebrate my brother's birthday. The ambiance was lovely, and the bar with all the bottles on the shelves looked very inviting for cocktails. Our server, April, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Thank you, April, for the birthday pudding cake for my brother – it was amazing! We will definitely be back to this hidden seafood gem. Thank you, everyone!

Since I was dining alone, I sat at the bar, which offered a great view of the kitchen. It was enjoyable to watch the chef work their magic with those unique pan roasts. I was in and out in about 30-40 minutes, which fit perfectly into my workday. The only downside was the lobster. The tail meat was easy to reach but a bit chewy, while the claw was more work but very tender. Personally, I would prefer if lobster were optional, as I prefer crab. However, that wouldn't stop me from ordering the dish again. Considering the generous amount of seafood, I thought the $37 price was reasonable, although not something I'd want to spend on lunch every day. The service was incredibly friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back!

Must try! yum I have only had pan roast in Vegas and this didn't let me down. Oysters are bomb! The pastas are bomb. The seafood/food quality bomb. No wonder there is a wait. I like going for lunch less people. The mixed drinks good as well! Yes yes yes for me!!!!!!

Food, service and drinks were excellent. Nice interior with great decor. Nice location. It was a good time.
