Great service overall. The views of the lake from the restaurant were super. So relaxing to look at the Lilly pads, birds, and the water. Restaurant was clean. Food was served promptly. We enjoyed the shrimp ceviche and frog legs along with the shrimp juice...as an appetizer. It was the middle of the afternoon and not busy. You can make a nice memory by coming here.
We had lunch there after a day at The Teuchitlan Pyramids.. What a lovely place to end a perfect day. We shared a chicken breast Molcajete Bowl..OMG..nothing fancy..but the flavours..The Chicken was almost the star of the dish..if it had not been for the sauce..I...would have been satisfied just to have a bowl of that.. I do not think we have ever had such moist tender chicken breast, anywhere.. The only vegetables in the dish..where a leaf of cactus, onion bulb a small yellow pepper..the rest was chicken, a small slab of soft cheese the sauce..Simple delicious
If you are going to the Guachimontones pyramids, this is a great place to have lunch before or after your visit. It's located across the main highway on the shores of a large reservoir. The restaurant specializes in seafood, and I would suggest sticking to...that recommendation or ordering fish. My group began by sharing a very large shrimp cocktail and a plate of fish tacos. One of my friends ordered the coconut shrimp which was incredible. The shrimp are covered in coconut and perched on toothpicks on top of melon balls. I ordered a brochette of seafood and beef. The seafood and vegetables were great. The beef .........not so great. So I would avoid beef at this restaurant. Service is casual. Wifi is either weak or non-existent. There are quite a few beers available. Not sure about wine or cocktails. Sit on the patio as close to the water as you can. It is quite picturesque.
There was a beautiful view of a Lilly pond that storche flew past, and children were allowed to fish in the pond. I give this restaurant a bad exam because I had food poisoning.
