The Lord Nelson - Thirsk

We received a very warm welcome from the hardworking owner of the restaurant. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious pub food. Both my wife and I tried the beef stew with herb dumplings and it was fantastic. The dessert options were limited but very tasty, especially the chocolate and caramel sponge with custard. We definitely plan on returning soon.

I visited this restaurant for dinner while staying in the area overnight. The food was tasty and clearly homemade. The portion sizes were generous, and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area!

We had a fantastic Sunday dinner at this restaurant. The homemade food was delicious and offered great value for money. Our party of 7 received impeccable service, and the quality of the food and drinks was outstanding. The pub had a cozy atmosphere that added to the overall experience. Beautiful beer garden, lovely staff and the neighbours cat asleep in the wheelbarrow, what more could you want on a chilled afternoon
