For...main we had paccheri carbonara con tartufo and rigatoni with red sauce. the food was divine and the pasta well boiled al dente. also the service was excellent. the prices are something on the high side, but all in all we enjoyed it.
They need to ask for the printed menu, they try to weep on them and start eating, the credit card terminal is always « below ». eating is simply ok. they will find a better deal than in tivoli.
The restaurant trattoria del falcone is located in the mountain town tivoli and is included in our viator day trip to hadrians villa and villa d’este. after a grulation but fascinating walk around hadrians villa in the morning we were ready for a break and some. the restaurant was quite quiet when we came, but that was part because it was ending februar. the waiter gave us a set menu card and we were told that water was free, but alcohol would be extra charged. So for the starters we have ordered both pasta a cheese ravioli, and an all’amatriciana. both arrived pretty fast and were actually quite delicious. then the dinge started to go quickly downhill, the waiters had problems with commanding on other tables, and that had a hit on effect. we ordered both saltimbocca and kartoffeln, but when the meal arrived two sidealates were dropped. the waiter took the salate away, and the potatoes then appeared five minutes later. a shame because the saltimbocca these special were made with pork and kartoffels were actually not bad, although eating was now a bit on the cool side. the glass of the red montepulciano d’abruzzo was very good, in which it was the highlight of the meal. I'm sorry that the table was on our right side when they said that the credit card machine didn't work (the old trick and they would have to go to the next money machine to pay for their meals. they didn't look happy. I think we've gone out easy!
We stoped here for the lunch included with our tour of Hadrians Villa and Villa d’Este. We were pleasantly surprised. The pasta all’amatriaciana was very flavorful and a good sized portion. The saltimbocca was tender and delicious. We ordered tiramisu and coffee extra. Out of...ten persons on the tour, everyone said they really enjoyed the meal. I would go back
It had to happen my first ever dreadful review. ‘Guided’ here by our tour guide. Starters ok Parma ham with melon and bruschetta. Now for the mains. The saltimbocca was small and slimy and we had to search for the sage. The side...order of potatoes arrived as we were leaving. The cannelloni took forever to arrive and was straight out the fridge chilly inside. Avoid at all costs.
