This place really deserves Michelin stars. My first time was 3 years ago and I just went back to Sushi Kanesaka last week Sushi was even better than before. For me this shows a lot of passions and hard work that the cook put into his craft. Rabbit San always friendly to its customers I really love this place!
Had one of the best Grandmakase experiences here but and it definitely felt like the boss brought his A game! Each dish was amazing and it's pretty hard to decide what the best / favorite since it was just too many! That said, I admit that I still think (and cheat) the aburi Tuna Wange, so maybe this is my favorite dish after everything! Yum!
I must say that in my experience DIESES PLACE NOT DISCRIMINATE!!! There are many people who say they don't let foreigners in and they say that the restaurant is full... it's true that is full! I went there without reservation and they told me the same. I learned the lesson and called to book... I have a place for the next month!! Secondly, it is not true that if you are a foreigner, you must call through your hotel Concierge. The problem is that they do not speak English, so it is advisable to ask the concierge for you to book if you do not speak Japanese, but if you do then you will certainly CAN BOOK BY YOURSELF (that is what I did even tho at that time my Japanese was faaar of being good). On Sunday at noon they have cheap options for 5,000yen, 10,000 yen and 15,000 yen I believe (I had the 10,000 option). It is true that did not end with a full stomach, but the experience was amazing!!! The cook was very nice and the service was spectacular. The sushi is one of the best I've tried for a very reasonable price compared to other 1 Michelin Star (or more) sushi restaurant.
Located in the basement in Ginza. Needed the hotel to make the reservation for us. Small restaurant. The price cheaper than the Singapore branch and quality of course is there. The few times I’ve been here, there weren’t many local Japanese, majority were foreigners (Hong Kong and Singapore).
