That Place on Sturt - TOWNSVILLE CITY

We have been to That place on Sturt many times for lunch and it is always incredible. Tonight we went there for the first time for dinner. The menu is so good, unique options, very well priced and even a separate dessert menu. It was such an intimate place to have dinner, candles and nice music playing, such a good atmosphere. Our meals were so fresh and delicious and the service was very good. We will definitely be back. It's one of our favourite places in Townsville.

I went into buy a chai latte on Thursday morning as I can't drink coffee. While waiting to be served the previous customer was getting refunded, i should have taken it as a sign. When putting in my order I asked for a chai latte medium and the girl who was serving me said my order back - coffee tall/large. I then advised a second time and they still got it wrong. While waiting the male doing the drink orders was making a coffee for himself and proceeded to drink it in front of me while I waited for him to start on customers orders. I then waited a further 10 minutes before getting a wrong order of coffee not chai latte, looks like the male staff member was more interested in talking socially than what he was paid to do. He also congratulated himself when fixing the previous customers error. Unfortunately wont be back.

We had an amazing time listening to Josie tonight! Great food and atmosphere, with extremely friendly staff. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Nice atmosphere but the food (cheeseburger) was dry, and not cheesy in the slightest... I've heard they do amazing breakfast though so will try that another time to make sure...

This cafe is a little different in it's decor. Nice easy chairs if you just want a coffee. However the food is not good. We wanted to go here for a while and just got around to it. Recent reviews indicate that it has gone downhill and we were not impressed. Cheeseburger was in a soggy roll and was more like a fast food chain burger rather than an independent cafe. Eggs bene ok but not great. Coffee was strong but also a little bitter. Won't be going back as there are plenty of better cafes in the CBD.
