Posto stipendo, personale di sala gentilissimi e bravi nel saperti consigliare ed ovviamente pietanze gustose e vini molto buoni. Lo consiglio vivamente.
Buon vino, buon cibo e giardino molto curato.
My family and I had such a negative experience today, and I want to ensure others (especially Americans) don't go through what we did at Osteria di Cantine Nicosia. I booked a lunch and tasting room tour; I specifically asked twice if they allow large dogs and they assured me yes. We show up and they reject us because the dogs were large and they would not accommodate us sitting outside even though it was sunny and empty. We've never had an issue at the other Etna Wineries with our dogs, but we had one family member drive the dogs home so we could continue the tour (we were forgiving if something was lost in translation when I specifically asked about large dogs, but it got worse). The head waiter had us join the wine tour and specifically requested the manager speak English, which he would not, so we walked back to the restaurant since he was unaccommodating. Once the lunch course began, the lunch manager did not serve us the intro sparkling wine- maybe we were not good enough to have the complete experience? The food was good and the Contrada Monte Gorna red was especially noteworthy, but comes with terrible and condescending wait staff. As Americans living in Sicily, we've never had such an unprofessional and rude experience. We live on Etna, we've frequented the local wineries every weekend, and have had nothing but welcoming and kind vintners. There are so many other great wineries to choose from, we will be sure to not bring any of our guests and friends here. To those visiting Sicily (especially Americans), recommend skipping over this one due to their clear disdain towards us.
