Grotta Azzurra - TREVIGNANO ROMANO

From atmosphere to incredible and truly unique entrees, local wines and wonderful desserts, this family-run restaurant is top class making it Trevignano's top offering. As a fellow traveller chef Christina, while utilising fresh local produce, incorporates global blends of herbs and spices that set her recipes apart from any other establishment in the area. The location is optimal set in a beautiful lush garden and the service is absolutely outstanding with every detail cared for. I am fortunate enough to live here in Trevignano (American expat) and while there are many awesome places here in town, La Grotta Azzura is set apart by a plethora of these great advantages.

Took some Russian friends here for lunch recently, and had an excellent meal. Staff welcoming and polite and very helpful. Gluten free options are available as well. We all opted for fish and it was excellent, tasty and nicely presented. For four people, including water, two glasses of wine, 4 main courses, 3 deserts and two coffees it was 105euro. While it was not necessary for us to book at this time of year, I would imagine that it would be during the spring and summer seasons, particularly if one wants to sit outside on the terrace. Will definitely make a return visit. Interestingly enough a staff member speaks Russian, so our friends were delighted. The restaurant also had Christmas goodies on sale, including homemade Panetone.

I love taking my friends here visiting from out-of-town to this beautiful mostly outdoor (weather permitting) local spot by the lake. The dining area is immediately impressive and I'm always welcomed graciously. Trevignano has many excellent restaurants but this place is my hands-down favourite. Especially for me being vegetarian, I have more selection here than other local places. Great local wines on menu as well. Fantastic place. Just love it here!

It's always very nice to spend evening walking along the promenade of bracciano'lake and here it is located this restaurant. Here it's possible to have Your dinner setting in a nice garden, with soft lights, tasting dishes based on tipical fishes of lake, as pasta or rice with delicious sauce, creative main corses and a wide selection of italian special wines. Advisable experience.

The location is beautiful and the food was absolutely great, but there is not as large choice as other restaurants in the area
