I've tried few health conscious vegetarian bio restaurant but none were as tasty as Biogate. Was sceptical in the beginning but gave a try and didn't regret my decision, food here taste so good! We tried the pasta and broccoli dish, really really yummy! Had the bio ginger lemonade, thumbs up!
As there seem to be very few vegetarian restaurants in Trier, we were happy to find a pleasant lunch spot in an organic supermarket near the cathedral, at Palaststrasse 3. The limited menu of the day is advertised on a blackboard. Meals come in small ‘klein’ or regular ‘normal” servings, which we found to be rather 'regular ' or 'big '. Biogate is very busy at lunch time and seating, at a pleasant central counter or a regular table, is limited. It’s easier to find a seat if you arrive early or late. We had lunch around 2 p.m. on a tasty small and normal vegetarian cake with a fresh side salad 6.40 and 8.40 euro and spent around 20 euro with reasonably priced drinks included. You order and pay at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
We come first because of the excellent vegetarian food. The service is fleeting and friendly. The portions are generous and lovingly dressed. Just a pleasure. In the store I still have problems with the system so that I have to look for a long time, but that can also be on my logic
Very good kitchen also suitable for vegans. All freshly prepared only delicious!
