Anybody that gives this place anything less than 5 stars is nuts. The food is exotic and varied. There's something for everyone and it was all extraordinary! The owner and his staff are the kindest and most helpful I've ever met in a restaurant. We're going back tomorrow. Never said that about another restaurant before.
We had an outstanding experience at the Eritrean and Ethiopian Cafe. Started off with the Veggie Sambusas, a fried pastry filled with a tasty lentil mixture. Then for mains we had Shiro Wat a chick pea mixture, Lamb Key Wat a lamb stew, and Kitfo a rare ground beef cooked in butter and served with a fresh cheese. All these were served on a delicious bread called Injera, which is made from the grain teff. Feven, the manager will provide menu suggestions and tutorials on the different items and the eating style, which is a bit different. This is a must try for those of us looking for a little something different.
2 of us split the beef and veggie combo and it was plenty of food. Everything we had on the platter tasted great. Great service. The only room for improvement would be napkins at the table. I enjoyed how small and no frills the interior is, but large parties over 5 might feel a bit cramped without some table rearranging. I would definitely recommend this place.
La nourriture ici est incroyable et la plupart des plats sont du gluten et des allergies au lait. Le propriétaire est incroyablement sympathique. Je le recommande vivement.
