Best chili in the city and put them ike’s chili over some fritos with comminuted chise and they are in absolute heaven! not only eating is fantastic, but the owner and the personal are the best in biz. thanks that they are a tulipa symbol; they deserved it!
So good! I'm not sure you're still in front of the teller. definitiw a clip of tulsa and the American kitchen in general. they get a feeling of the strata, the building could tell only of the search for the decor outside.
I always get the 3 away with a cheese and a beacon. the staff are friendly, the place is clean and eating is good. my legal father was born in 1909 and ate here as a young man. ike has been in business since 1908.
We love historic restaurants, so we decided to check out Ike's, since it it the oldest restaurant in Oklahoma. Ike's made its name with chili, I ordered a double of straight chili. I wanted the original Ike's experience. Since the recipe is historic, I don't want to judge it too harshly, but to my modern palette, it was not very good. As it came from the kitchen, it was so bland and flavorless that it wasn't worth eating. There are containers of hot sauce, chili powder, red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper available on the counter. After a liberal dosing of all of them, it was okay-ish. The history of the restaurant is neat, the atmosphere is definitely that of an old local diner and the staff was friendly. Next time, I think I'll go with a burger instead. My wife says hers was pretty good.
