The place is directly on the beach and the beach was beautiful. the rooms are very simple. the restaurant staff and eating lacked, we have a few doors to go down every day to eat.
I visited solo and enjoyed some great dinners/lunchs with the amazing view of the Caribbean. I'm looking forward to the return.
We always go to OM for their wood-fired pizza...the crust is awesome and we really like the one with chipotle cream sauce with calamari and shrimp. The shrimp needed to be cleaned this time, however, and we spent the first 5 or 6 minutes with...our knives cleaning out the shrimp veins...that would be my only recommendation for improvement. The beers were cold, and the service was good. The hours they fire up the pizza oven seem to be sporadic, however, so if that's your reason for going, be sure to ask before getting all settled in. The beach beds still seem to be free with a food and/or beverage purchase, which is nice touch.
One of my favorite places in Tulum note mostly because of the location I always stay in this area and hence always find myself close to this; the pros: open late and fantastic atmospher when sitting upstairs by the windows (plastic screens, really)....Gives the perfect mix of being inside and outside. Super romantic IMO. The cons: food is mediocre. Maybe good to have a drink or have pizza snack with low expectations taste wise.
