Dropped by here late Saturday night to have a quick dinner. Scale: Service 4 out of 5. we did arrive a little later (about 830-840 and they close at 930). We were seated and given menus. They took a little longer to take our orders and didn't really check up on us during our time there. I guess maybe because we showed up closer to closing and they didn't want to serve us but we were quick and didn't spend too much time there. Food: ordered 2 nigiri (seared tuna and smoked salmon). Golden Phoenix and black tiger rolls. The food was delicious! No complaints. Overall, I'd go back. The spot isn't something I had imagined it to be. It is small, with a few tables booths.
Friendly and fast service. They were packed. I thought the fish had no taste. Bitter taste to the shrimp tempura. The sauces were not tasty. I had baked muscles, Fuji roll, and lobster tail roll. The place was pretty clean.
Great service friendly. But the food was different. The lunch box special I ordered had jet black grill marks nearly burned through the salmon. The salmon smelled burnt and tasted burnt but was not burnt outside of the grill marks. I ate it.
This place is located in a very awkwardly placed business complex. The walls inside are also painted a weird washed-out pastel green. Maybe it's a personal thought, but the wall colors make the food seem bland. The atmosphere of this place wasn't too impressive or inviting. The staff are helpful and attentive. They're great! Plus you can see the sushi chefs do their magic right in front of you, especially if you sit by the bar. This restaurant is probably the best priced sushi restaurant around. They pack a bang for their buck, for what they're offering. I got the fried calamari and there was a decent amount for its price but it seemed just slightly undercooked for me. I wanted the tempura batter to be a little more golden but that's just a personal preference. I also ordered a Kawaba beer (imported from Japan) and it was $8, which I felt was a little pricey for its size.
