Friendly staff, good food, cheap prices, but my nasi goreng was a bit too salty. This place is not entirely vegetarian, they still serve meat.
As the description says, this place is very hippie Very comfortable and homey. You can (and are required to) make yourself at home. The buffet had lots of choices all vegan when I was there. The drinks were in a cooler. Everything is: help yourself. And everything I had was very tasty. Someone started playing drums while I was eating (also as the description says) and they were very good. The buffet kept getting re-stocked while I ate, and I couldn't help but sample a little of every new thing. All tasty. When I left, I did my own dishes, and paid what I thought was a decent amount, and walked away feeling happy.
Due to the huge amount of really good reviews on this warung, we wanted to try it too. Unfortunately, at our visit there, the staff was not very friendly (they only sat at their table and watched into their phones), the food was not really tasty and we were also disappointed by the hygienic conditions for cleaning the plates. The only positive thing for us was the really delicious banana cake. So, all in all, we would not come again and would also not recommend this warung to any of our friends.
Lovely food and cheap and all vegan. A little hidden off the main road but worth looking for. I will be back.
