Made's Warung Penestanan Ubud

The shield says "The best food in the city" and it could be true. The family run by very nice people is the chef Made up there with some of the best. The menu is quite wide, but we depend on the 'home specialties' and they were excellent. Service is personal and fast, portions are a good size and prices are very reasonable without shock. Off the regular path, but the walk is worth getting there.

Good local food in Penestanan and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a tumeric drink (which was freshly made), nasi campur and special chicken. Their menu has a great range of Indonesian food to choose from. The view from this location are limited but its still nice.

If you come to Ubud and look for a place for an authentic Balinese lunch, this is your place. Made's chicken is simply incredible, full of taste, spicy as it should be, juicy as the best poultry you could find... No words for this amazing dish. Keep your recipe secret. Ah ah ah ah I really hope that this restaurant is the best contribution to Covid. You deserve it, we had a great time and it was delicious.

Usual warung. Food is fresh, taste is not bad, but not excellent. Fish curry is normal, but absolutely not spicy and only with 5 small pieces of fish. Friendly staff. So if you like to eat fast and simple, visit this warung.

I visited this hidden jewel twice in my 3-day stay in Ubud. Cosy place with excellent food. Crispy chili chicken, fish / chicken curry, tofu soup, icy ginger honey lemongras tea are my favorite. Certainly worthy to spend some time to find this restaurant and enjoy the sunset view with great food.
