We pick up from here occasionally. Best BBQ around. I would recommend a side of red beans and putting it over the rice. The meat is perfect and flavored well, the rice is clean and the fries are good. We get the combo and last the time 2 of us almost ate the entire tray. The service is good and I like to get an ice pop and eat it during my 5 min wait. Yeah only 5 mins for really good food.
If the chickens can get any possibly smaller they will be parakeets. Rice use to be more authentic now just a cheaper grade. They would serve with black olives and a pickled vegetable but not anymore. Prices are higher but quantity lower in size and quality. Too bad it use to be a nicer place. Owners father owns the original bbq on Grove St.
I ordered a steak sandwich 85% was bread LITERALLY and the little bit of steak was tougher than leather then I was charged almost $30 for that and the thinnest beef ribs I've ever witnessed. Not sure how this place got 4.4 stars but will never go there again. PLUS they don't wear gloves when preparing the food. ?
I recently called to place an order at this restaurant and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude. I have been a customer here for years, but the service I received today was shocking. I have overlooked bad service in the past, but today's experience really put a damper on my evening, despite the delicious food. If they cannot treat customers with respect, they shouldn't be answering the phones.
