During small talk he seemed very over confident in his restaurant. The menu being used was the old Ale House menu which was over priced and had a lamé selection of entrees and appetizers. They also tossed a pizza menu with pizza by the slice or a whole pizza. I was immediately told the prices on the pizza menu weren't the actual prices???? Re-print it with the prices!!!! Not hard!!! Also, the menu prices on the lame Ale House menu were raised even higher!! ??? Terrible decision! Get rid of that menu! It sucked before and it still sucks! Anyway, reluctantly I ordered a pesto chicken whole pizza. In the end the price of the pizza was $30!!! Crazzzzy ridiculous price! The pizza was very good..but not worth $30!!?? I was told that a new menu was coming soon..that would have an Italian menu up for selection. Soooo I came back 5 weeks later to give this place a chance. Unfortunately after 5 weeks had passed the same lame mis priced pizza menu was still in the bar!!! And the Ale House menu was still the same high priced garbage menu! The owner was at the bar again drinking shots of whiskey with a lame canned beer. While his bartender suffered due to the place being understaffed and under managed. The owners girl friend told him he should help bud tables to help out his staff. He replied back saying that wasn't his job! Although it was his responsibility to staff the restaurant on a busy Saturday night! He just sat there and drank his whisky while the entire staff worked strenuously! Then left and didn't take the time to thank his guests for dining in his lamé restaurant or say goodbye to his staff! After all this on two separate visits I'm done! No more Lame Ale House for me. Which is unfortunate because I'd been a patron here for 15 years! Tim
Back again. Although the menu is a fraction of its former self, we always enjoy stopping here for a bite and a cold beverage. Atmosphere is fun, service is provided quickly by a friendly staff, and they have shuffleboard! You won't be disappointed.
Maddie and Ciara were amazing! Our water was always full always making sure we were fully taken care of! Smiles and laughter! Food was incredible!!!! This is my new go to place!!! Thank you for an amazing and fun experience!
The Ale House Pub hasn't aged well. Building is poorly maintained and configured oddly. The staff are less than friendly, however our waitress hustled. Pull tab counter refused to sell tabs from an open bin because someone else was playing it. But it wasn't closed or they hadn't pulled the card down. Basically they lied to me because a regular had $20 in the game. Food: not so good. Lacked flavor. Tater tots undercooked. Wings overcooked. Sandwich was flat and tasteless. Beer cheese was neither. Entire visit was a lackluster experience. I won't be going back.
What a disappointment. This is my review after going there twice. First off, all the stools where reserved , leaving only booth seats available. Hardly anyone was there. The waitress Ciara seems as smart as a rock, kept forgetting our water, what we ordered, and even got our bill wrong. The food was COLD. I MEAN COLD! The Bourbon burger was small, cold, and not worth the $17. Neither was the French Dip ; the meat was literally cold and it wasn 't worth the price ! She charged for food we didn 't order. It took 3 servers, 10 minutes just to figure out my bill. She didn 't give me a paper bill/ receipt. She just showed me the price on her hand held gadget. I paid in cash so who knows if she pocketed the money. I was actually loving the food before when I went in early May this year. I was served by a man who also made the food. It was delicious then, and even the bourbon burger was larger. This second time around was a disaster. We 're crossing this establishment off of our list.
