The service and the ambience were good, but the food was terrible. The hummus was covered with maple syrup and did not taste like hummus. The Broccoli bites were very fat. The taste inside was good, but was too oily. I ordered the brewery to leave the meat. There were 2 pieces of broccoli and a few pieces of green pepper no other vegetables. It was so oily that you could only taste. I expected Teriyaki. I couldn't finish it because it was absolutely terrible. The person I was with ordered risotto with corn. There was a ton of corn and very little rice. It came with 2 scallops and they were delicious and properly cooked. Maybe we ordered the wrong food, but it was pretty disgusting. I'll never go back. I had coffee (it was very good) the person I had ordered a drink. That was lunch and the bill was $130. I've never paid so much money and got such terrible food. This place has decent reviews I just don't get it.
Based on previous reviews, we decided to give them an attempt. You didn't disappoint. The food was great, the service was great, the menu was great. We will definitely return.
My husband and I drove around with our two young children because the baby was asleep in the car. We unexpectedly came to an early dinner at Urban Pantry. We had a great time! All we ordered was delicious royal mushroom soup, curryfries, butter chicken and seafood puttanesca. Even my VERY Picky 2 yr old chomped down the food Curry fries and butter chicken without complaining. My husband and I come back to our anniversary dinner!! I say lunch because the portions are very generous! We have to let it end at our afternoon walk! This will be our regular place, esp at special occasions!!!
This is the second time my husband and I visited Urban Pantry. I wanted so much to like this restaurant because we don't have many options in Uxbridge. We didn't make a reservation and the hostess seemed dismayed by that fact. I can't be sure...why, as it was a Wednesday and the restaurant was practically empty-with only two tables being occupied our entire time there. Naturally, we were all seated beside each other during a pandemic.... The food was okay with exception of a random shelled sunflower seed in my sandwich. We left vowing never to return as this was our second underwhelming experience. I didn't complain, we just paid and left. My only consolation is as Uxbridge become more developed, new restaurants will open up, and they will obliterate this painfully average place that hasn't earned the heir of superiority with which they conduct business.
