However, consider the crowded Valencia beach and Saler, this was the best place we found to open our beach season !!! the food in the restaurant was very good, nice paella, the service in the lounge was good and the staff friendly !! even with so many local people on private events, the staff never stop to serve us and ask if everything is ok!!! great day !!!
Myself and my boyfriend went here in sept for a bite to eat after seeing it in a little restaurant brochure in our hotel. It took ages to find this place, its in a strange location. We took some menus from the bar thats at the pool area and sat down on one of the table and chairs facing the pool. There was only 2 other areas occupied, about 5 people on the pool side in total. The waiter came over and said we had to spend a minimum of €10 to sit there/use pool, which we obviously had planned to do anyway, but we had no intentions of using the pool, we didnt even have a bag with us. We said we were just ordering food and he said we had to move over to the restaurant side. He had terrible english but we presumed from this that they didnt serve food on the pool/bar side. Why have menus there then?! A different waiter served us in the restaurant and he had no english at all. I ordered the crayfish paella for us both by pointing to it and the waiter put bread on the table and got the other waiter with the most english to tell us we had about a 20 minute wait and tried to get us to order something else while we waited, but we didnt want anything else. About 50 minutes later our paella came out, My boyfriend didnt think it was right because weve never had crayfish before, but as far as we knew it looked a bit like lobster, but this looked like it was lobster so we ate it anyway but the further we ate, the more we questioned it because this one had squid and prawns too, the one we ordered was supposed to have crayfish and asparagus. While we were eating I noticed waiters bringing food to people at the pool! After telling us we had to move! Anyway we got the bill and noticed we got charged wrong, I got a menu and yes, they had given us the lobster paella! So i said it to the waiter and he had to get the english speaking waiter to come over, we tried explaining that the waiter had taken our order wrong and he said we should have said something before we ate it, which yes he was right, but we thought it was wrong and then didnt and then did and how could we explain to our non english speaking waiter it was wrong and then have to wait another 50 minutes for another one! I just wanted an apology off the waiter who got our order wrong, obviously we were going to pay sure we ate it, but the whole experience was terrible. We also noticed on the bill we got charged for the bread the waiter put on our table, without asking! Its a nice place in a strange location with cheating rude staff with barely any english, major letdown.
Nice pool and lounge area, although it's next to a highway. The service was mixed and really let this place down. One or two of the staff seemed nice but we were treated like an unwelcome distraction most of the time. I asked for a Pina Colada which was met with a succinct no (even though other people were drinking them and it was on the drinks menu). I ordered a G&T instead. Later I asked a different member of staff for a Pina Colada which she went away and made but it took about 20 minutes because it ended up being sat on the bar for ages while she chatted to her co-workers and went off to take new orders from other customers. The whole visit was peppered with experiences like this. When we were brought the menus we seemed to be told what we should order. When we made our own selections, the menus were taken away and we could see the owner, chef, and bar staff discussing our order and looking over at us as if we'd done something really inappropriate. The whole thing was just weird. They seem to think they're operating some sort of super exclusive, high-end club that people are tripping over themselves to get into. Not the case. They seem to need the custom but don't act like it. Based on the reviews, it seems that others have had the similar experiences. Wouldn't be surprised if they end up going out of business if they continue to carry on like this. It's only across the road from Pinedo Beach so I ended up spending part of the day there instead.
