It may be a bit difficult to find, but it's worth the search. The wooden architecture reminded me of a beach house. The waiting staff was friendly and bilingual.
I had my first experience at Locos and was impressed by the fresh seafood and quality ingredients. I highly recommend trying the casque of Chilean waters with salsa to all travelers.
During my vacation in Chile last December (2017), I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant. Two Chilean tourist guides, accompanied by a group of Brazilians, led me here. Despite not knowing much about the place beforehand, I decided to give it a try. The overall experience was delightful. The restaurant had a charming wooden decor and a friendly waitress. The highlight was the stunning sea view. The menu offered a variety of delicious dishes, though the prices were a bit steep. However, the high quality of the food made it worth it. Each dish was expertly prepared and served alongside a refreshing glass of beer. The only downside was the wait time, as customers typically had to wait around 20 minutes or more for their food to arrive.
Fantastic fresh seafood, well prepared in good portions. Attentive entertaining employees with good English skills to help our non-Spanish speakers. It is worth traveling from Santiago to eat there. I want to go back.
Definitely a tourist trap from the pricing perspective, but good food, English speaking staff, English/Spanish/Portuguese menus, super clean restaurant, and best of all an unparalleled view of Valparaiso. Prices are on par with upscale East Coast U.S. dining establishments, but worth it.
