This is my favourite alpine restaurant ever.....the food is fantastic (the tiramisu is worth travelling overseas for alone), the ambiance is fabulous and the artwork on the walls is fantastic. Had eaten there as part of the Club Med set menu lunch but went back again on our free day and we were shocked at how great and varied the rest of the menu was. Huge portions (everyone agreed that 2 people could have easily shared each item) and the pricing was good. Can't wait to go back again next year.
I ordered a wine and another more expensive wine was brought to me and for an order of 35 euros I was given a 10 euro cover (tips) on the receipt. I do not recommend this restaurant
Refuge on the slopes, accessible in winter only through chairlift, very cozy. very good food, fresh day and sweets to say little super abundant and delicious. beautiful and super cuddddling dog cabin!
On our second day skiing on the Italian side of the Matterhorn, we were looking forward to another excellent lunch on the slopes. We were disappointed by the food at LaMotta, especially the soup with bread and cheese, which turned out to be soggy bread covered in melted cheese (see photo), something resembling a left over cheese fondue. The pannini was similarly disappointing as was the lasagna. And the staff were indifferent, a stark contrast to the friendly welcome we had received at a nearby restaurant the previous day. Definitely not somewhere we would return to.
