This restaurant is a haven for fans of video games, anime, and pop culture. Featuring arcade machines and consoles near the bar, it's clear that this is not your average dining spot. The walls are adorned with pixel art and there are various pop culture events held weekly. The trivia nights are especially enjoyable. Gamers frequent this place, making it easy to connect and make friends. I tried the crab meat sandwich and it was cooked to perfection, exceeding my expectations. This restaurant is a go-to spot for meals during conventions, particularly when Anime Revolution is happening at the convention center. Be prepared for crowds during this event!
If you enjoy video games and delicious food, this is the perfect spot for you. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with arcade machines, video game posters, and video game streams playing on the TVs constantly. The menu is themed with video game references, and I tried the TriForce Burger which was amazing! They also have a selection of board games for customers to enjoy, as well as gaming consoles available. I had a great time playing Super Smash Bros with my friends and even tried Overwatch for the first time. I would highly recommend this place to any video game enthusiast.
My colleague and I probably would've walked right by this place if he hadn't already found out about it online. Don't let the nondescript exterior fool you. The food, drinks, service, and overall ambience have made EXP one of my favorite spots in Vancouver. The...service was great, and honestly, nothing beat playing some Mario Kart and reminiscing of the good ole days while waiting to be seated. As for the food, I ordered some variation of the loaded nachos that even the small plate was hearty enough to share. The food and drinks are all cleverly named after video games, truly sticking with the theme. Everything is also moderately priced, so you wouldn't be breaking your wallet. I definitely recommend this to any Vancouver newcomer.
I like the look of the place and the atmosphere it is definitely a great place for video game and nerd culture people to come and hang out. it's definitely unique in it's concept int hat way and I did like being there for that....Had the garlic skinny fries (because it was the cheapest thing there) which were alright but way too greasy. I don't really agree with the food prices over all. While I can't remember what the exact prices were I feel paying plus dollars of a fair size plate of pasta with chicken is a bit much. Can't say I am entirely a fan of the beer selection but that is because I am very finicky with the kinds of beer I like(no wheat beer on tap, only in bottles) but they do have a very prominent selection of BC beer which is good to see, beer prices are slightly expensive but for the most part on par with everyone else in the neighbourhood. Staff was very nice to me and the group, more than cordial. Bottom line if you are a gamer and looking for a place to hang out with like minded people in a welcoming environment/atmosphere then I think this is a great place for you. However for me while I liked the environment/atmosphere but the prices for the food and lack of the kind of beer I like that will keep me from not coming back that often.
