Gary's Irish The Rising Sun - Vangviang

Gary's Irish Bar is a must visit spot when in Vang Vieng. The staff there are the friendliest you will meet around. Great food served also. Gary himself is an absolute gentleman and will go above and beyond with how he can help you with his local knowledge.

Owned and run by a lovely fella from Kerry. Fish and chips were great, tasty fish and nice chips. Local beer (super cheap) and happy hour on cocktails. Great fun atmosphere without being overly loud. Played loads of Irish tunes. Not what we expected to find in Laos but the reviews are true, it’s a great spot for food and drinks and a sing song Great Job guys

If there is something you did not expect in the middle of Laos, is a proper Irish Bar! Good music, pool table. Staff speak good English and they are very helpful and spot-on. The food is delicious and proper, with fair prices. Highly recommended !

A great Irish bar located in a place you would least expect to find one! The staff are all very friendly and Gary himself is brilliant. There is a pool table and darts available and various food options. Atmosphere inside this bar is always amazing with the music played also being great. Happy hour provides cocktails and beer at very competitive prices. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to have a great time in Vang Vieng.
