I've lived here in Victoria for over 2 decades, and just found out about this tea room! And let me tell you ... this hidden gem did not disappoint. We had family visiting for a few days and toured around the grounds of Government House, which are immaculately maintained and absolutely beautiful. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat, not really expecting anything special, and were blown away by the variety on the menu. The Ham and Cheese quiche is definitely something to write home about ... also comes with the choice of the daily soup or salad ... and even prepared with a gluten-free crust. And I can't forget the Buddha Bowl, which at some establishments can be a little lacklustre, but here it is chock full of all the fixings! Staff were friendly and service was prompt without being overbearing. We had a fantastic experience overall between touring the gardens and the tea room, and can only offer our full compliments. We will be back again soon!
A lovely repast after touring the magnificent grounds around Government House. Friendly staff made sure our dog had water. The hot roast beef sandwich was delicious, as was the strawberry tart.
Very cute tea house in a beautiful setting. The staff and volunteers are great and clearly care a lot. The food was very nice, too!
Absolutely a gem! Service was amazing. Everyone was so kind. The sandwich was delicious and affordable. Highlight of our trip
