Stopped in for a late lunch at around 3 PM and were treated with the most hospitality my boyfriend and I experienced on our trip to Italy! We were served a variety of delicious courses including a tasty free dessert. The owner is incredibly kind and was very gracious and welcoming despite us knowing almost no Italian. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!!
Absolutely amazing! We are on our way to Rome from Naples and saw this Tavernetta on the map. They don't speak English but that was not a problem with the assistance of knowing very basic Italian or using google translate. I wish I could give this place 6 stars as it was all fantastic, the whole place gave a really nice welcoming family vibe. We will come back on our next travels
We arrived in Rome from Toronto, Canada late morning. We are a family of 5 siblings, our spouses with our elder parents (12 people). We were heading for the Amalfi Coast and stopped at a service station but it was too late to find any food so we were told about La Tavernetta. Upon arrival there was no hesitation in providing an amazing multiple course meal for us outside on their patio. The food was fresh, local, traditional and homecooked, excellent wine and amazing service. It was the best unexpected meal we could ever had imagine traveling on the highway. Highly recommended. Great food, generous and friendly family run establishment. Pontone Franco was very friendly and made us feel at home. It was a great experience.
