The tables are rickety, the decor is falling apart. I am scarred for live over the absolute filth in the bathroom. There was YEARS of brown gunk built up on the walls, mouse droppings and just filth all over. If I had seen the bathroom before we ate, we would have walked out. This place should be shut down.
Ordered the Mapo tofu. Tasted like a dirty American Irishman made it. It also had peas and carrots in it and absolutely no spice. F*ckin horrible.
Make sure your food is in the bag. They shorted us on rice. And after 10 miles round trip to head back to the place a second time. We got a sorry. How does a take out place miss a rice container. Next time I'll rip the bag open. How about a sorry here is 10% off next order? Nope. You are the customer and we gladly take your money and don't care if we screwed up your order. Sad. Sad sad.
3.5 Stars A Chinese Japanese restaurant in the Fairport area. My fiancée and I have been ordering take-out frequently here lately since the pandemic hit. So far, we 're impressed with the menu variety and also the portion-to-price ratio. Sakura Garden offers most of your popular Chinese dishes as well as a wide-range of sushi and rolls. Usually i 'm pretty picky and stick to the adage, Jack of all trades, master of none. That still applies with Sakura Garden, but I have to say that both their Chinese and Japanese food are solid. We 've tried their General Tso 's Chicken and Eggplant with Garlic Sauce. Both are very good and the huge portions will leave you with leftovers. I haven 't tried any of their fancy rolls. But their Philadelphia and Spicy Tuna Rolls are solid. Sakura Garden definitely holds a place in our take-out rotation during this pandemic.
The food is pretty good, a bit expensive though. It is our go to Asian restaurant for the area. The sitting area feels sticky and neglected, so we normally do takeout. This is NOT a Hibachi place like the pictures on Yelp lead you to believe.
