The design of the place makes it feel like a beachy fancy restaurant, exactly like what I would imagine in Greece. the Service was wonderful. Appetizers were flavorsome and had such a great rich taste to it. Kyma chips had a texture that I found so intriguing. The watermelon salad was a different unique flavor to it I guess, with sweet combined with a little salty in the few nuts and veggies. Main courses were not as good as the appetizers but still not too bad nonetheless. We had the seafood linguini, salmon, chicken, etc. the salmon and chicken were a little too dry for our liking.
Everything was great, the ambiance is sooo nice but the desert was very ordinary. The fried dough balls in honey and walnuts had very little taste except for the honey, they were surprisingly plain.
Way too crowded It's not elite Just tables are too close Staff is busy busy and no attention span.
We walked out after being totally mistreated and rudely being interviewed by management during the seating process. For a high end establishment that was highly recommended to us , we were literally shocked at the CONDESCENDING behavior of the Manager who literally looked us up and down debating whether to seat us or not. Management is RACIST, RUDE and Disrespectful and I would never patronize an establishment that treats thier clients this way. We were so offended that we are planning to take this further with the BBB and other agencies to address the behavior of management that we witnessed.
Was quite a disappointing experience. We went to lunch to celebrate my mother's 87 unfortunately one of the dishes was served with a long black hair in it. clearly it did not belong to one of us. The weight staff was very nice and took the dish back immediately and offered up something else. My brother was pretty disgusted at that point and lost his appetite so he just asked for a fruit platter. Ruined the meal for the rest of us as we kept looking for hair in our own dishes it does make you lose your appetite when something like that happens. You would think the restaurant would at least compass a dessert or a cuppa coffee, but they did none of that. Literally, the only compensation was a small plate of fruit to make up for my brothers un meal. I expect this from the diner, but not from Kyma. One of my favorite places on Long Island to eat just got demoted.
