Vivonne Bay General Store

During our stay in Vivonne Bay, we stopped by this restaurant. While we only purchased milk and bread, the young man working at the counter, who was a local of the island, provided us with helpful hiking recommendations for our family and even showed us on a map. We were grateful for his assistance.

The restaurant offers friendly service and a wide selection of products. It is a rare find in the sparse area of the west end of Kangaroo Island. Additionally, they have the added benefit of having an alcohol license.

Son and I had a whiting burger here and it was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful in sharing travel tips.

This store is ideally located to where we were staying - it had everything we needed, with the added bonus of great / happy service.The hot chips were great for a cold day and the wine collection was just what was needed for our romantic dinner at our cottage

Staff is a big part of why I come back for more even with the high prices. Love the staff. Always a good chat!!
