Pizzeria Shekkinah Volla

Firstly, we came across this pizzeria by accident as we were staying near by, we had not seen any reviews previous to our visit! Food Ok, let 's talk about the reason we went here. Now I have been to Naples a few times and it 's always a MUST to have a pizza where it all began. When we looked over the menu, we couldn 't decide which pizza to have, so Roberto came over and introduced himself and brought over his iPad. He then gave us some recommendations and showed us photos of them on his iPad with an explanation of what toppings and ingredients were in them. When our order was placed, a pleasant young lady (Roberto 's Niece in fact) explained that we were going to get a few tasters to try and that its free of charge. I can 't remember the names of the 2 different tasters that we were given but they were delicious!! Then came our pizza shortly after, which looked good but what it stand up to pizza 's I have had in the past?? Well it sure did, probably the best pizza I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a lot of different pizza 's in my time! For me the pizza base is the toughest ingredient to get right, the toppings can be the best in the world but put on too dry or too crispy base, it takes away the whole taste! Everything was perfect about the pizza itself, and at €5, I felt like I was somehow robbing them of their food! Value As stated above, the value is outstanding, I had a Margarita which was €5 and my parents who I was with at the time had a pizza with extra toppings like mushroom and some meats (sorry can 't remember the names of the pizza or the exact toppings they had) which came to €8 each! My mum wanted only to try a little of the extra toppings so it was suggested that she could have a half and half pizza which half has one toppings, and the other half with another topping....great idea for those who want to experience 2 different types of toppings in the same meal. You can 't find this kind of quality and hospitality (I will come to that in one second) for this price! Service, Atmosphere and Whole Experience At the end of the day, food is just food. It was great food but when on holiday, you want the full experience as well as great tasting local food. I can not rate this place highly enough! Roberto spend a considerable amount of time sitting with us and talking to us about his life experiences and asking us about our life story. This is not to mention his niece who also came over to talk to us and best of all Roberto 's MAMA!! At 65 year old, she is such a character! She came over and told us some of her jokes in which she had all written down on her notepad. We arrived at the restaurant at about 9pm but didn 't leave till about 1am, either talking, having photos, having coffee or watching MAMA dance and sing with her regular customers who were like part of the family there. As our hotel was a good 15min walk from the restaurant, Roberto offered us a lift back to our hotel in his own car! This is what I mean by the whole experience, food is just food, but combine it with great company and great people, you don 't get just an eating experience, you get an experience you only get when you are with a group of family members, we didn 't get just great food, we got a full night of entertainment. I actually had a sore jaw from smiling and laughing so much! If you are ever in the area, please go and see Roberto and experience the great pizza and the unchallenged hospitality you get here, you will not be disappointed! To some it all up, I will leave you with the words of Roberto himself when he said 'My home is your home ' which is exactly how you feel when you get there. I now have an obligation to visit Shekkinah everytime I visit Naples or nearby to see my new extended family!

I was born and raised in Naples but I've been living in the USA for 12 years. Few days ago I came to Naples to visit my family. Tonight my brother took me to shekkinah and I am absolutely speechless. I never had a such different and incredibly good pizza like tonight. The owner came, personally, at the table to talk about each pizza. The ingredients were super fresh and the combinations of flavor was something I never had anywhere else. I, highly ,recommend this pizzeria.

The first pizza that I need to try when I go back to Naples! I love Pizza Fiocco and all the ingredients are genuine! The place is nice and the owner is really funny!Excellent!
