Island House Marina - Wachapreague

Food here was great. Im not a huge fan of beans and corn in my salad or hot meets cold, but the fire roasted salad was amazing. UPDATE October 10th 2023 My older review is still true but after my recent visit taking a friend who came over the bay we were sent away because the entire restaurant was being used for a private party. I had called earlier twice to make a reservation but noone would answer. Their Google listing said open. Not the end of the world but here is your warning. You can go but find you may be turned away. So we went to Mallards by the Wharf in Onancock and it was way better in all areas! Food, Atmosphere and great service. Plus they answered the phone first call. Take my word Mallards is way better. Despite all the signs I get the feeling Island House might be mainly for locals. Took a friend there for lunch a couple of days ago. I got flounder fried coleslaw and fries. Everything was made to perfection imo. Waitress was great. Also very reasonable on prices. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Cannot rate, up from Utah, passing through. Google Maps said it was open today, Tuesday Oct 10th. Sign on door said it's closed on Tuesday Wednesday. Two other cars of people showed up when we did and had to go find lunch elsewhere as well. Disappointed.

Nice place on the water. Be mindful of high tide, this entire area floods, especially the parking lot. Food was good, lite not anything too heavy. Cheese dip and crabcake was amazing. We also had these crab hush puppies that were interesting. Service was good the server checked on us, but not too much. I hope to come back here again one day.

Incredible view, awesome food. Best service too! We had the perfect dinner and a beauty of a sunset.
