Contribuer aux commentairesWalked in and we were brought over to the bar side of the restaurant not sure why. We sat down and thre was an annoying fly in the area. Ou waiter took our appetizer orders dumpling and meatballs. They came in a timely manner but they were underwhelming. The meatball was raw and falling apart. We had to flag the waiter down to order entrees. Entrees came to the table, but the waiter didn't check up on us and my son had to go looking for someone to get parmesan for his linguine and a bowl for clam shells. Waiter was nowhere to be found and we had to contact the hostess to get our check. Skip this place.
Food, as always, was excellent. The problem, which is becoming consistent with Thom Thom is that they are VERY short staffed. We arrived a little before 6pm, for a 6pm reservation. The hostess and waiter were very attentive and pleasant. The waiter was very on top of everything. By 645-700 the restaurant gets busy and they just don't have enough staff. We had to wait almost 15 minutes to order our dessert (last time we were here we skipped dessert because by the time they got around to taking the order we didn't want it anymore) Then after we finished dessert we had to wait nearly 20 minutes to get our check. That is not acceptable. Its becoming a problem. I have gone back a couple of times, but we may have to find another neighborhood place to go. For a bill that was north of $100 per person, service has to be better. The next question only allows me to answer yes or no. So i'm going to say yes, i would recommend Thom Thom to a friend, but with a warning about the service.
We shared the King Pao calamari which was good. I ordered the pork chop that came weirdly as 3 very thin slices. It was terrible, very dry as was the basmati rice pilaf that came with it . My husband ordered the scallops which were delicious.
Food was mediocre. Menus and table were dirty. No lighting inside. Sat by the window and noticed the dust piled up on the blinds.
The food and drinks were okay nothing special. Small amount of light throughout the restaurant. The menus and tables were sticky. I noticed the blinds were full of dust as if they had never been cleaned.
