Waffleton - Waterton Park

I thoroughly enjoyed their freshly made waffles! The light vanilla bean whipped cream paired with the cinnamon-spiced waffles truly brightened my morning. The waffles were soft and fluffy on the inside, complemented by a crisp, caramelized sweet crust. As for the West Coast turkey, it was not oily at all! It was hearty and flavorful without being overly salty, and the freshly made thin waffle enhanced the taste beautifully. The classic buttermilk waffle was my least favorite, but that's only because I’m not a fan of overly syrupy dishes. Despite the generous amount of sauce poured over it, the waffle maintained its crispy crust. Lastly, the Waterton Fog is essentially a London Fog, offering everything you’d expect from a traditional London Fog in a cup!

I've come across some complaints regarding their prices, but I encourage you not to let those deter you from trying Waffleton. One review criticized the prices, but I found it unfair, as nearly every restaurant in Waterton (with the exception of Subway) is on the pricier side, and the prices are quite similar across the board. On average, expect to pay around $15 for a brunch that includes some type of protein. We explored other breakfast menus, but they were all quite standard with limited options—this is one of the reasons we chose Waffleton twice during our stay. Chef Tyson was both kind and professional, and waitresses Paige and Payton were fantastic and extremely friendly. What impressed me most was their genuine desire to ensure customers were happy and had a great experience. On our first day, I requested my cocoa drink to be less sweet and with more cocoa since I'd found a previous drink too sugary for my taste. They delivered exactly what I asked for. On our second day, they were out of bacon, but they offered various suggestions, and Tyson came up with a delicious Benny featuring flavorful ham. I was extremely satisfied not only with the quality and taste of the waffles but also with the service and the warm atmosphere at Waffleton. The only downside is that there are no tables inside the restaurant, but there are picnic tables right outside, and they'll bring your food to you. Don't miss the berries and cream waffle—it’s incredible! The waffle itself is uniquely textured, and the addition of cinnamon in the batter makes it absolutely delicious!

Great spot for breakfast and relaxation in Waterton! The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that felt refreshingly different from Banff, in a positive way. The waffles were so delicious that my son wanted to come back—it's a 50km drive from Pincher Creek just for the waffles! If you're in Waterton, be sure to check out Waffleton!

This place was great. We discovered Liege waffles at a food truck a couple years back, and have only found a few places since. The savoury options we tried were the Benny and the Hot Hawaiian, both of which were spectacular. The hash browns in particular that came with the Benny were so incredibly tasty and well seasoned. The desert option was the Banana Brulee, which was also spectacular. Each portion comes with two waffles, and is topped generously, so the priced to me seem reasonable. The service was of course kind and quick. We'll be adding it to our list of must stops when we're visiting

Know what they serve here? Waffles. Know what else? Things on top of waffles. Also, coffee. Because waffles are great for breakfast and that 's when you want a cup of coffee. Right? But here 's the thing. It 's solid quality coffee. And you know what? Waffleton 's waffles will put a whomp on any hotel buffet 'Belgian ' waffle in the neighborhood. They 're tasty, and you can get a waffle benedict. Right? Right! Waffle Benedict! Why are you even thinking about grabbing breakfast anywhere else? Two words: Waffle. Benedict. If you 're one of those 'pancakes are better than waffles ' weirdos, then sure. Move along. Nothing to see here, except delicious delicious waffles.
