IMO, the lightly battered crust on the cod and perch fish fries ranks as one the best in and around Madison. Tried the GF bun (wrapped in foil but it could have used a little more butter or maybe a dipping oil, but its probably not a frequently ordered item. A great selection of rotating taps and a fully stocked bar (Old Fitgerald on the top shelf! . Tried the Little Guido and it came with a little too much ice. I would order it again neat or with one cube. French75 was refreshing. Will be back again. Cheers!
Overall good but just not a stand out. First time here. Place was clean and welcoming. I had the fish fry. It was good but also plain. No real seasoning on the fish that makes it stand out over other fish fries. It was good tasting and i'd recommend if you like no surprises. Tartar was tangy with dill which i rather liked. Slaw was a bit dry but still tasted fresh. Overall good place for dinner.
Great cocktail options. We had the chicken gyro and a traditional gyro. Both were ok.
I believe this is the best gyro place in town. Prices are unbeatable at that.
Got the lamb and beef gyro for lunch with baklava and was very disappointed. The meat tastes solely like hamburger meat with about a full onion cut up on top. The baklava tasted like cardboard and I couldn’t finish it. Sad outcome since I was super excited for some Greek food!
