Singtong Neeyom Thai - Waveney

My friends and I visited this restaurant on a Friday night. We were informed in advance that there was a party happening and that there might be a delay in our food, but in reality, we didn't have to wait long at all. The dishes were beautifully plated, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The tomatoes looked as though they were grown in-house. Towards the end of the evening, the chef came out to greet her guests. She was a lovely, friendly, and incredible woman. It's hard to believe that she prepares all of this amazing food by herself. The restaurant was packed, and yet she managed to cook everything on her own. She had some help with the service, but you would never have guessed that the exceptional quality and presentation of the food were the work of just one person. Truly amazing.

I called for a takeout at 8:20 in the evening and was informed that they had already stopped serving food. I don't think I called at an unreasonable time, especially since their closing time is advertised as 9:30.

Friends seem to like it here, sadly myself and husband didn’t. Pad Thai was dreadful, sloppy with hardly any noodles, vegetable green curry lacked vegetables with only a few bits of broccoli, cauli and cucumber (odd), it was nice and spicy though. Service was fine, but it all felt a bit dated.

I had been eager to try out this restaurant for a while, and after moving to Halesworth, my family and I finally had the chance to dine there last night. We were thrilled with our experience - the squid was the most delicious we have ever had, and we plan on returning to this restaurant regularly. I highly recommend it.
