The Lock Stock Barrel - West Berkshire

The steak I had at this restaurant was the best I've had in Britain so far, with perfectly cut meat that was easy to eat. It was cooked just the way I like it, but I would have enjoyed it even more if the children were quieter and the background music was louder (seems to be a problem with the parents, not the restaurant). We waited over 40 minutes for our two dishes, only to find out that they were complimentary. The pub is dog-friendly and has lovely outdoor seating by the canal.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, offering a good variety of Fuller's ales along with other brands. They have a small but tasty selection of toasted sandwiches, fries, and daily specials. The outdoor seating area provides beautiful views of the Avon Channel, and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

This pub is beautifully decorated with a lot of helpful staff. Customers have the option to dine inside or outside. All orders are promptly delivered to the table. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Ok so If your looking For a very pleasant place for quality service great food and polite staff this is the place to go.If you live anywhere near Newbury its in an ideal location set right on the river by the lock very pleasant Indeed 100% worth a visit on a lovely sunny day.
